- A bonfire. Eg. En las fogaleras que se hacen por San Juan se queman los trastos viejos de las casas. – In the San Juan bonfires people burn their old junk from their homes.
- Suffocating heat. Eg. Hasta que no se quite esta fogalera, no se puede salir a la calle. – We can’t go out until the heat disappears.
- A fight. Eg. Cada vez que había verbena se armaba una fogalera. – Each time there was a festival, a fight would take place.
- An epidemic.
- A party.
- A party animal.
- A firestarter. Eg. Él mimo reconocía que no lo dejaban jugar porque era un fogalera. – He himself admitted that they weren’t letting him play because he was a Firestarter.
